Google Talk is true and live and Open Jabber!

At 10:57 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug 23 2005, I successfully logged into talk.google.com over a secure connection using my GMail account with the open source Psi Jabber Client.

Noticed that GMail contacts show up as buddies and vice-versa! My Jabber contacts on other Jabber servers were showing up in my email contact list.

This is great if Google keeps this open. There will be an explosion of content and services available over IM.
